The Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise ("IHE") initiative has the goal of stimulating integration of information and imaging systems used in the delivery of healthcare. IHE develops guidelines and supports a testing process and other activities to encourage the implementation of standards to enable communication among such systems.

Thanks to Chung-Yueh Lien from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan we are now offering the generation of dummy patient data for Taiwan within the Demographic Data Server application.

HL7 message profiles are the files used to validate the HL7v2.x messages, more specially, they are used by the External Validation Service Front-End. You can now browse them through the web application Inria HL7 Message Profile Repository. The message profiles are sorted by domain, actor and transaction and are available for display and for download.

HITCH is organising a Workshop at Connectathon 2011 in Pisa about the Present and Future of eHealth Interoperability and Conformance Testing in Europe and Beyond. The workshop will take place at Tuesday,  April 12th, 2011 in parallel to the IHE European Connectathon.

For monitors who own a smart phones or a tablet PC with a wireless web access (wifi), a new Gazelle application has been developed called GazelleMonitorApp. This application, reachable at http://gazelle.ihe.net/GazelleMonitorApp enables you to retrieve the tests you have claimed from TestManagement on your PC and validate them. The results are automatically sent to TestManagement.

Obviously, this application can only be used in Connectathon periods for the testing sessions you are monitor for.
