Check List Before traveling to Bern

We are now very near the beginning of the connectathon, before wishing you a very nice trip to Bern here is a checklist before you leave your office.

  • Gazelle 

    • Gazelle Test Management (http://gazelle.ihe.net/EU-CAT) will be switched to Bern server on Sunday. So on Sunday there will be an interruption of services. Once the service will be turned back on you will be able to access Gazelle Bern Instance from the internet using the same URL.

    • At the end of the connectathon we will turned back the system in Rennes and there will be another interruption of service on Friday May 

  • Table Assignment

    • We have 168 tables and each of your system has been assigned a table : PLEASE USE THE TABLE THAT HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO YOUR SYSTEM. Your partner and the monitors will not find you if you decide to change table by your self. If the table next to you is empty please do not spread, someone may arrive later. Please find attached to that email the room layout and the list of systems sorted by Keyword, Organisation or Table. We recommend that you have this information with you on site.

  • Partner Assignment

    • Lynn has send to you some partner assignment for testing XDS.b, please read it

  • Network :

    • SUT (System Under Test): your system under test should have been assigned a fix IP address. Please get it from Gazelle Test Management and do not highjack other fixed IP address. 

    • Testing Support Devices :  Your support system laptop, phone, tablet can access internet  (web, mail, Gazelle Test Management access ) through wireless or wired network. For this devices please use DHCP. 

    • During the event please do not use internet access for other purposes than work. Our bandwidth shall not be wasted with streaming of your favorite TV show ! 

    • Wireless : 

      • SSID : cat2012

      • WPA Security key (password): 2012-cat

  • Payment of participation Fees : 

    • Some payment have not been received yet ! Please make sure that the payment is in process by your company and you have some information to give us in Bern. 

    • In case you do not pay your participation fees, we will remove your company name from the IHE Connectathon Result Matrix and from the Product Registry. 

  • USB key, CD-ROM, DVD :

    • We will not provide media for testing purposes : If you need USB Keys, blank DVD or CD please bring them with you, or be ready to visit the closest electronic store on site.

  • Calibration tools :

    • we do not provide calibration tools for the participants to the CPI profile. Please do not forget them. 

  • Printing : 

    • There will be a printer on site. The printer is there for convenience to print labels or boarding pass. 

    • You are not supposed to print the entire test plan for your system or the technical framework. Bring you own copy paper copy of the Technical Framework if you need it on paper. Some story for the test plan if you need them on paper, please print them from your home office. 

    • If you'd like to install the printer driver on your system before arriving in Bern please do so :  The printer is an HP Color Laserjet 2840.

  • Badges :

    • As mentioned by Tony in his email yesterday. You will need a badge to enter the testing floor.

    • Badges are pre-printed based on your registration in Gazelle and they can be picked-up after 8 am on Monday morning. 

  • Announcements :

    • We expect 350 persons on the testing floor. 

    • Making announcement will be difficult and thus we will make use of a daily news announcement. Please read the daily announcement on Gazelle (EU-CAT) home page.

  • Currency

    • Although Swiss is surrounded by Euro, the official currency in Switzerland is the Swiss Franc, think about it...

  • Power Adaptor

    • Do not forget your adaptor to swiss plugs.

  • Social Event

  • Dressing Code 

    • Dressing code is casual. Please make sure that you will be comfortable. The connectathon is a marathon also as you will have to walk a lot from test partner to test partner. So tennis shoes, jeans and T-shirt are recommended. Ties and suit might be overkill !
